electric power steering
Electric Power Steering (referred to as EPS) is a modern automobile technology which is developed for efficient steering experience. Typical electric power steering helps drivers steer by reducing the amount of effort it takes to move the wheel. At the heart of EPS is a high-tech motor, sensors that track steering-wheel movement and an electronic control unit (ECU) that measures this information to deliver the correct amount of assistance. This system is now heavily used in modern vehicles, from small cars to large SUVs becase of the more greater controllability and fuel economy along with compatibility with other vehicle systems. More importantly, it is far more lightweight and compact than regular hydraulic power steering systems which is why most manufacturers are opting for it too.
